1/28 Gwen Ifill in conversation with Neil Henry

She caused a bit of a stir during the presidential debates and has a long history as a correspondent for PBS. Now journalist Gwen Ifill has released her new book (and subject of the debate bickering) “The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.” In the book, Ifill who’s reported for The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Baltimore Sun, investigates the black political power structure in a post-Civil Rights era and examines the impact of an Obama Presidency on the nation. Ifill will discuss the book tonight with Neil Henry, professor and dean of the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley.
