Tonight, a group of elected officials across the state, county and city levels are throwing a holiday party together. And you’re invited!
It’s a long list of hosts – Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Senator Loni Hancock, Assembly member Sandré Swanson, Assembly member Nancy Skinner, Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson, Mayor Ron Dellums & Get Screened Oakland, AC Transit Director Joel Young, and Peralta Community College Trustee Abel Guillen.
They’ll be serving up some refreshments, but they ask that you bring a donation for the Socially Responsible Network, which will be holding a food and toy drive. They’re hoping to collect canned vegetables and fruits, pasta and tomato sauce, beans, rice, peanut butter, cereal/oatmeal, powdered milk, nutritional beverages and snacks, toys, books, and school supplies.
Wednesday, December 9, 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
Uptown Body & Fender, 401 26th St.
