Just because he’s short a letter doesn’t mean this cat is missing any of his Jazz chops. Drummer and record label owner Jaz Sawyer has had music in his blood from the beginning. This cat’s been playing drums since he was 2 years old and has worked with a who’s who of acts, from the Grateful Dead to Abby Lincoln. Sawyer leads the Downtown Jam Session over at the Oakland Public Conservatory tonight. Bring your axe if you want to sit in. Read the rest of this entry »
